We wanted to thank members of the Saskatchewan Disabled Ski Program for working with our Elders and staff on making some skiing dreams come to life!

This week, Brandon and Donovan were fitted into a sit-ski, a piece of equipment that enables people in wheelchairs to ski down a hill. We had a lot of success using the sit-ski last year at Table Mountain with Dave, one of our Elders, and we sure hope to repeat that success in the next few months!!

Elders and Community Day Program participants had a blast this afternoon exploring a new art instillation that puts cats first!

The instillation is called 'The Cat's Meow' and is a partnership between Saskatoon's BAM Art Collective and SCAT Street Cat Rescue.

Nacho (white and orange) and Cindy (black) had a wonderful time exploring every corner, high and low, of the instillation. Our Elders and Community Day Participants sure had fun interacting with Nacho and Cindy and watching them explore.

A big thanks to Sherbrooke's own Alana Moore and Alison Fox for helping organize this excursion. And in case you were wondering, Nacho and Cindy ARE looking for their forever home:)

We received quite the surprise today! Hailey from CFB Dundurn delivered hundreds of postcards written by Saskatchewan elementary students and addressed to Canadian Veterans.

Our Veterans have visited CFB Dundurn several times in the past few years and we are proud to have a great relationship with the staff and soldiers at the base. These postcards will be shared throughout Veterans Village in the days to come.

A big thank you to all the students who honoured Canada's Veterans in this meaningful way!

Thank you to our friends at Rubicon and Earl's Pharmacy in Saskatoon for a great educational session this week.

Rhett Kirk, a pharmacist at Earl's Pharmacy (and pride of Climax, Saskatchewan), delivered an in-service on topical medications to Kinsmen Village and Veterans Village care staff and nurses in the Tom McLellan Commons.

This is a great example of how Sherbrooke is investing in our staff to provide exceptional care to our Elders, and we thank our friends at Earl's Pharmacy and Rubicon for making this education session happen!
