| The Sherbrooke Foundation was established in 1986 as the fundraising arm of Sherbrooke Community Society. Over the years the Foundation has raised millions of dollars to replace the obsolete buildings on our property with the Marleau/Wyant Residence which opened in 1993 and the Kinsmen Veterans Village which opened in 1999. In addition the Foundation provides funds for much needed capital equipment and quality of life projects.
A volunteer Board of Directors governs the Sherbrooke Foundation. They report to the Board of Directors of Sherbrooke Community Society. The Board members are:
Dr. C. M. (Red) Williams (Past Chair) Lily Krause (Society Chair) Kelly Salmon Lynn Tait
The Foundation sponsors the Annual Appeal and special events such as our Gala, our annual fund-raiser. The fundraisers raise money for specific projects such as the roof top patio, gardening programs, and warming the environment, painting, rugs, window treatments, furniture, art work and so on.
For over 18 years, the generosity of our friends, donors and supporters has helped us enhance the quality of life of residents. While Saskatchewan Health provides the funding for operations, Sherbrooke raises funds for equipment, construction and for quality of life initiatives that make Sherbrooke more like home. Without your generous support none of that would be possible.... so from all of us thanks a million!
The foundation is governed by the Saskatchewan Non Profit Corporation Act and our Charitable # is 10483-2407 RR0001.
