Sherbrooke Community Centre recognizes the unique needs of those who live with an acquired brain injury and strives to provide a normal social environment for them.
Our care teams develop care plans that focus on behavioral and emotional control strategies. Individualized care planning with residents with an acquired brain injury not only assists them in making safe and healthy choices but encourages safe, respectful and healthy responses to daily interactions at Sherbrooke and in the community.
Sherbrooke offers a unique environment to residents with an acquired brain injury. Two houses in Sherbrooke’s Kinsmen Village are dedicated to these residents. The smaller, homier environment enables residents to be involved in the daily activities of running the household. The smaller number of staff and residents encourages the growth of close relationships.
