Sherbrooke is an Eden Alternative™ Home. We strive to create an environment that enables residents to live full and abundant lives. This human habitat involves children, plants and animals as we strive to provide each resident with companionship and opportunities to give and receive care in a diverse environment rich with spontaneity and variety.
Sherbrooke employees belong to one of three unions. The majority of staff belong to Service Employees International Union (SEIU), the nurses belong to Saskatchewan Union of Nurses (SUN) and the remaining professional staff belong to Health Sciences Association of Saskatchewan (HSAS). An extensive benefit package is available to all employees through the Saskatchewan Association of Health Organizations (SAHO).
Sherbrooke employs approximately 500 staff who care for 270 residents and over 100 community day program participants. Sherbrooke has permanent and casual employment opportunities for special care aides, LPN's, RN/RPN's, housekeeping and food and nutrition services. Management positions and other professional positions may also be available.
The Human Resources Office is located on the 2nd floor in the administrative offices at Sherbrooke. Applications are available at the front reception desk and can be dropped off on the 2nd floor or with the Receptionist at the main entrance.
Posting Boards are located on the main floor by the staff cafeteria on the east side of the Marleau/Wyant Residence.
A police record check for criminal convictions and outstanding charges is required before any application can be considered. Please contact your local police service for more information or pick up a form at Sherbrooke.
