Adult volunteers require a police record check.  Please call 655-3664 to obtain a cover letter so that the $25 fee is waived.  

Sherbrooke Community Centre strives to provide an environment that enables residents to live full and abundant lives. Volunteers are essential in providing residents with personal interactions and opportunities to alleviate loneliness, helplessness and boredom. Sherbrooke works with both youth and adult volunteers as well as youth groups and partnership schools. Potential volunteers can set up an appointment with either the adult or youth volunteer coordinator to explore options available for a volunteer experience that meets their needs. All volunteers must fill out a volunteer application form.  Volunteers over 18 years of age require a police check.

Sherbrooke works with several partnership schools including Evan Hardy High School, Father Robinson School, College Park School, St. Phillips School and Osayak High School.  If you are interested in a partnership opportunity please contact:

 
Youth Volunteers

Interested in volunteering at Sherbrooke Community Centre? There are lots of opportunities for youth to get involved. Youth can volunteer in a variety of ways with residents, including:

Adult Volunteers

There are lots of opportunities for Adults to get involved at Sherbrooke Community Centre. Adults can volunteer in a number of areas with residents, including:

  • greenhouse programs or individual resident gardens
  • wax therapy

  • medical appointments
  • woodwork

  • assisting residents in care of pets
