We are very proud of our history here at Sherbrooke and for how our community has grown throughout the years. We have created a Sherbrooke Facts Sheet that provides an overview of not only our history but how things look today. Feel free to click the link and print off the sheet to familiarize yourself with Sherbrooke.
We offer many educational opportunities covering a variety of relevant topics, including Leadership and Organizational Culture, Human Resources, and Quality Improvement.
Our Village Model creates a unique environment for long-term care. In this model, houses are designed to be residential and to reflect the personalities and wishes of the Residents who live there. Consistent and supportive staff are encouraged to create a normal, loving environment, where Residents and their families feel comfortable, safe, and at home.
We adopted the Eden Alternative ® philosophy in 1999. Cheryl George and Suellen Beatty are the Eden regional coordinators for Western Canada, they offer training throughout the year.
There’s no denying that Sherbrooke Community Centre is an amazing place to live and work. The centre has inspired a documentary, photographic exhibition, photography books, and four exhibitions of work created by Sherbrooke artists.
