Palliative care is about living, not just dying. It reinforces the person’s autonomy and right to be actively involved in his or her own care, and strives to give individuals and their families a greater sense of control.
As a values-based organization, we are guided by our mission and vision as we strive to provide the most sensitive and loving palliative care possible to the people living in our community.
We have developed TULIP (Together Understanding Life in Palliative Care), a committee that meets quarterly to discuss projects and fundraisers. The TULIP Committee will work with Residents, families, staff, and physicians to provide all persons with the tools and education to promote individualized care planning, and to provide support which improves quality of life.
We believe that most people want to die at their Sherbrooke home and we want to assist Residents and their families to exercise choice and control at a difficult time.
